Overall Impressio n
This car had a very simple turbo system, using many OEM Honda parts and was able to make great power. This will be a very fun, fast, and reliable street car. The Hondata S300 boost by gear was dialed in to give the best possible traction on street tires as well. This should be able to achieve 30-40 mpg range while cruising on the highway as well!

Eg hatch

The Tuning Rundown
Car was tuned on 93 octane @ 18psi of boost using Hondata S300

The Complete Breakdown
Here is the complete breakdown for this particula r setup.

Engine

* B16a long block
* Stock sleeves, 81.5 mm bore, Wiseco 9:1 pistons, Manley rods
* Skunk2 tuner Springs/ Retainers / Valves
* Skunk2 Tuner Stage 1 camshafts
* Skunk2 Intake Manifold

Fuel System

* RC 750cc injectors
* Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump

Engine Managemen t

* Hondata s300 with boost control solenoid

Power Adders

* Full Race t3 exhaust manifold, Unknown turboneti cs t3/t4 bb turbo, 3″ downpipe/exhaust, no cat, 2.5″ charge piping, tial 44mm wastegate, tial 50mm bov

Overall Impressio n
Simple set-up with solid power gains. I was expecting in the 450 whp range at 18 psi, but specs of turbo are unknown. I suspect its a 50 or 54 trim t3/to4e due to the non-linear power gains from 10 psi to 18 psi (expecting 15-20 whp per psi of boost). Injectors were at 92% duty cycle, which indicates the fuel pressure is dropping off. Customer needs to rewire the fuel pump with a dedicated relay and 8-10 gage wire from battery, as well as upgrade to larger injectors if more power is needed.

Full Race Geoff's Civic, 700whp/518tq, NepTune

Postby boosted hybrid June 20th, 2005, 12:11 pm
Car: EG Civic coupe

Engine: 2.0L ERL sleeved and built engine, Crower rods, JE 84mm 9:1 pistons, OEM bearings, oil pump, water pump, and timing belt, Headgames ported GSR head, Full Manley valvetrai n, Type R cams, Full Race cam gears, Full Race IM, Mustang throttle body

Modificat ions: Full Race top mount manifold, GT40R .85a/r housing, 4" dp, 4" aluminum exhaust, Full Race custom backdoor PWR intercool er, 3" chargepip es, Tial 44mm wg, Tial BOV, Precision 1000cc injectors, sumped OEM fuel tank, Aeromotiv e a1000 pump, -10 feed and return lines, Aeromotiv e FPR, custom Full Race fuel rail, Exedy twin disk

Tuning at 38psi, c16

Boost was holding 38 pounds then dropping off to 32 pounds. If boost would have held at 38 pounds this would have easily made 800-850whp. This is the most hardcore, daily driven street Civic!! With some seat time, this car will easily run 9's.

NO dyno sheet
