Omni Power Throttle Body...
« on: December 26, 2010, 08:57:25 pm »
Has anyone used an Omni Power throttle body yet? They are really cheap ($100) compared to sk2 or blox, and i was wondering if anyone has used one and how they are performan ce wise.

Also, do you know if you can use the stock TPS with it?

I had one on my crvtec in my del sol and it would lock daily so if you do get one just be careful on busy roads cause the spring likes to slip on them

I have you. I haven't had a problem out of it yet. You adjust the idle using a bolt and nut near the pulley. It's a pain in the ass, but once you adjust it you shouldn't have to mess with it again. Also, the stock TPS is fine to use with it.

If you wishy-washy about using it, send a stock TB to maxbore.c om. They are slightly more, but I haven't heard anything negative about them and they have been around for years.

My old 87 crx had a max bore redone throttle body on it.

Made that car come alive.

I had a Maxbore for my LS...   It was real nice except for the throttle plate was not a good cut and  didn't fit correctly .  Because of this I could never get the car to idle correctly
