http://kirkey.carshopinc.com/product_info.php/products_id/72219/56100LW

$318 shipped is a hell of a deal!

Im running a Kirkey in the CRX, gotta have mine custom made though. Im too tall for the shoulder harness holes. This is the one Im gonna get:

With Richard's phone support, I removed the cd player and all speakers:

(block off plate courtesy of big dare)

I also removed the oem drivers side mirror and replaced with a spoon style mirror bc it's lighter:

And finally; I removed the rear seats + rear seatbelts .

No pic bc I'm lazy.

To do list before the next autox is getting shorter:

- Apply tire softener to race tires
- Remove antenna and replace with block off plate
- Replace both doors with 88 versions
- paint new doors and hatch
- cap sunroof with composite
- install and wire up shift light / tach
- install quaife geared steering rack

Kenny you still got your ac in it?

that will remove weight.

Also no worries on phone support.

Take measureme nts on the hatch center distance to center distance on the holes left to right and up and down.

I'll measure my wagon and see if the wagon one will work.

I doubt the rear hatches are interchan geable.

Yes I still have ac. I hate to remove such a good working unit but oh well... Weight is weight!

I'm going to affix my plexi sunroof plug like this guy:

pretty freaking cool buddy.

I'm not talking swapping the hatch.

I'm talking using the wagon little low profile wing.

Oh wagon wing yeah.

I'd like to see it, but I'm allowed to go wingless (I think).

Did a little more work on the sunroof plug today:

I transferr ed the template to my acrylic sheet but added a 1" border all around (you'll see why later).

Then I started cutting with a dremel bc scissors just don't work too well on this shit.

In retrospec t I'd recommend the acrylic cutting tool they sell, but I was too cheap to spend the extra $6 so I had to suffer through this process and the jagged edges that remain.

Next I checked for clearance of the overlap at the borders.

It looked good so I removed the protectiv e film on both sides and applied the double sided outdoor tape.
Then I mounted it.  (ya I said it)

Damn that shit is crystal fucking clear!
