Wanting to get some prices
« on: July 16, 2009, 07:49:07 pm »
Wanting to get some custom intercool er pipes made. With a Greddy BOV flange right before the throttle body.I have a half size EG radiator and am wanting the piping to run near that to make it at short as possible. The compresso r side will be on the drivers side. I have a precision 400hp intercool er.

I also want to have a 3" v-band downpipe made to come out the front bumper on the passenger side.

Let me know what ya'll think. I'm about 90% done with the kit.

Also wondering about ya'lls tuning.

Here is what I'm working with

Low compressi on B16A
T3 turbo .60 compresso r side. Got this from a friend still unsure on the exact specs other than that
Spoolin performan ce log manifold
Tial 38mm wastegate w/ 5lb and 1.0bar springs.
Precision 400hp intercool er
Delphi 1000cc injectors
Walbro 255lph pump
B&M fpr
UR lightweig ht flywheel
AEBS IM
Converted to OBD-1, w/ 4 wire o2, dizzy and phearable .net p28 and conversio n harnesses

Wanting to make ~350hp. Let me know what ya'll think. Really looking forward to doing some work with ya'll.

For your Intercool er piping, has your battery been relocated? Also, is your compresso r housing facing up on the drivers side? Were you wanting a cast elbow welded to your passenger side endtank to turn it backwards (the Precision intercool er length ma be too long to add a coupler there and still run it beside the radiator and clear the frame)

Tuning, we mainly try to do Hondata/AEM.
Is the phearable ecu a crome setup?

Thanks a lot for the reply.

My battery is in the rear. Also has a almost full wire tuck under the hood so there is plenty of room. About the end tank. So pretty much I would need a backdoor setup for the piping I'm wanting? I could probably just got with the normal piping routing if that's the case.

I'm not sure what they use as far as the ecu goes. It's just a basemap pretty much. I know they use crome for tuning at their shop though. I think I have decided to go ahead and get the Hondata s300 next month. I have used kpro in my friends cars and it is an absolutel y awesome program.

I plan on having my whole setup finished and ready to run like a champ by feb or march of next year. The most boost I will run is 15lbs with just the pistons. I'm going to replace the rings and lost motion assemblie s before getting everythin g up and running.

I will also be travellin g through alabama in September so I might make a stop by ya'lls shop to see if you could help identify this turbo and give me a few opinions about dp and intercool er pipe setups.

Oh and another question. Are ya'll hiring? Lol

OK, normal routing w/ a relocated battery not a prob at all. Which BOV flange is needed? Also, is the compresso r housing outlet facing up on the drivers side?

The S300 is great!! I also have those at a good deal.

Not sure what BOV I want to use yet. I like the tial and I also like the greddy type-s and rs. I'll probably just get the tial from ya'll.

The compresso r side is facing towards the front of the car. I have it loose right now so I can clock it once it's in the car. I'll be through there in September to get the s300. Do ya'll need my ecu to put the s300 in it?

TIAL FTW!!

Sure thing, if you can send your ECU in a week ahead of time it will be great. That will give me time to be sure I have at least 1 S300 on the shelf and get it installed ahead of time. Send me a pic of your setup if you have one.

I can send it in no prob. I'll just send it in a week ahead from when I'm travellin g and I'll pick it up that saturday if that would work.

Here's my intercool er and everythin g apart

Here's the mani, turbo and wastegate together. I'm thinking about getting a little bit bigger compresso r side.

And here's pretty much what the engine bay looks like. With the exception of the coolant reservoir moved, OBD1 throttle body, integra throttle cable and diff paint scheme. Plenty of room in there.

You may end up "needing" to flip the turbo around on the manifold.
