Only 3 points events left:

August 9 - Atlanta Motorspee dway (Hampton, GA) Event 8 (Solo)
August 24 - Turned Field (Atlanta, GA) SEDIV Day 2 / Event 9 (Solo)
September 27 - Atlanta Motorspee dway (Hampton, GA) Event 10 (Solo)

I'm trying to see if I can get an LHT modded intake manifold (air to water cores) before then.
That will lower the iat's, and let me run even more boost!

Currently I'm running 7.8psi, but then I could turn it up to 12psi...
Goal is 300whp with a nice high Tq curve.

Well those are the dates.

They're usually on Sundays, but the next one looks like it's on a Saturday.

Come out!

You may not want to do the 9th...

It's at Atlanta Motor Speedway and my run group is first thing in the morning.. .

Ugh, I hate getting up early on the weekends!

*oh maybe you meant points #9.
If that's the case, then ya it might be a lot of fun!

Well I picked up some used Hoosier A6's:

10 runs supposedl y on the 275's.
They were PedalFast er's Nat's tires from last year.
6 heat cycles on the 205's.
They were road race rears.

Hopefully these will last me the rest of the season...

I'm the only registran t in my class currently for points 8.

On another note, I was able to get a non-sunroof 90-91 hatchback headliner from rbwdriven!
He met me on his way home from work this week.
Now I'm another step closer to being completel y class legal.  :)
Thanks man!

Next up I just have to get these Hoosiers mounted on my 15x10 keizers up front + I think I want to use my cp035's in the rear.

Then I just have to prep the car for the event.

I'd really like to get the water injection installed and street tune some more, but time is running short...

Welp, points 8 was yesterday .

Long story short, I ended up running my 88 hatch on a borrowed set of street tires.

Results from smf:

1T   smf   99   Black R  88 civic  71.338+dnf  70.725+dnf  70.670  69.265+dnf
2   smf   71   Dexter  1994 Civic  87.853    81.701+1    73.498+1    72.831  (2.161)

Bad news is that this class isn't anywhere near what the national level competiti on is like.

More on this later - I'm so sunburned .

Well it looks like I'm in first place for season points so far:

http://www.atlantascca.com/Files/results/Solo/2014/points-open.htm#smf
(Scroll down to smf times)

Woohoo!

All I need to do is finish well at the last two events and I can have it in the bag!

*fingers crossed*

Also I got a call from John at LHT, and the laminova air to water cores are now installed in my new manifold.

I hope to get my existing manifold off the car this weekend and send it in as a core to him - he will then polish the s-tube and send me the replaceme nt air to water cooled manifold.

Well I finally got my manifold pulled Tuesday night and shipped it yesterday after work.

The next event is this Sunday 8/24, so I'll either be running my grey car or borrowing a seat to co-drive in.

I doubt I will have my black car back together in time to make this event, but maybe at points 10 I can bring it and go out in a blaze of glory!  :)

You should definitel y come this Sunday to Turner Field:

I run in the afternoon group and would be honored to let you ride shotgun.

I'll be running my grey hatch again - on race tires this time.

It should be fun, if unprepare d.

As luck would have it, my 3.8" MVM blower nose pulley arrived the other day:

This should bump the output of the blower up a couple psi...  ;)

Yesterday I ran my 88 std in some old kumho race tires.  205/50/15 and oz racing 15x7 wheels.

IMO the car sucks with an open diff and no swaybars.
And I only have h&m lowering springs + stock shocks.

There were only 3 of us in the class, so I couldn't have done worse than 3rd place.

Results might not be up until tomorrow.

Well anyway I'm hoping to have my 91 si back together soon and make some more power in time for the last points event.

Well look what showed up tuesday:

I'm not pleased with the dust and crap inside though - slag or junk or whatever.

I'm going to spray it with brake cleaner and get it all flushed out hopefully .
