Those c/r's would have to be adjusted. The DOHC ZC doesn't share the same HG as the A6/Z6/Y8. It shares the same gasket as the D16A1. HKS Beaded gaskets or a Cometic would be what is needed for the motor.

Damn, I didnt even thick about the compatibi lity of the HG. So the A1 has a thinner gasket than the Z6?

You could bump the compressi on up in the ZC using  FJT Distribut or Connectin g rods (but it will still be relativel y low).

I wouldn't even do that (personall y). that I beam and Vitara setup your talking about is made to work together in the standard D16 block. I don't know what CR it would net in a DOHC ZC. I just say if your going to build it, then build it with a forged piston and forged rod. You can go w/ a high (er) CR SOHC piston and still net a 9.x or so CR in the ZC...use a 9.0:1 and get mid-low 8.x, which would still be perfectly fine...ju st bring on the boost and it's all good.

you dont think 8.x compressi on would be too low for daily driving?

from what im reading, when you're not in boost and if you have that low of compressi on, it's really laggy, and not responsiv e.

The DOHC isn't a "beast" off the line so to speak as it is. IMO, you'll be fine. Mid 8s is OK, 9:1 would be more target, but you'll be ok in the 8.xx range

I've been thinking lately that sometime after I get my car out of the body shop I might just swipe the credit card for a Go-Autoworks kit and make 400 WHP.

I mean if 2012 happens then debt won't matter anyway right ...
