The wife and I was tired of battling with the a/c in the eg, so we sold that a few days ago. After looking at the following; Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit, Honda Civic, Honda Civic Hybrid, Mazda2, Mazda3, and Hyundai Elantra Touring, we decided on a...

HONDA FIT Sport (in Bigdare Red lol)

Overall, I probably liked the new Mazda 3s hatch the best, but fuel economy prevented us from purchasin g it (it had a 2.5L compared to a 1.3L-1.8L like the rest of the other cars).  While test driving it (they let us have it for the night), the car averaged around 20mpg (new cars have mpg meters in the car if you didn't know) which was definitel y too low for my wife. But, I have to give it up to Mazda, that car is a better buy then the new Civics. That car will blow the brakes off of any stock Civic created (besides the new Si, not including Type Rs) speed wise, and the Tiptronic transmiss ion is really fun.

The new Civics are cool also. They definitel y don't look as nice as the previous Civics (except the EM2s lol), but they aren't bad. The Hybrid's CVT transmiss ion made driving the car seem weird but cool at the same time. We actually found a 09 white hybrid (had tan interior and Navi) that we were consideri ng purchasin g but it was sold right before we got a chance to look at it. :smh:

The Ford Fiesta is a very nice looking car (a hell of a lot better than the previous ones LOL), but the down fall is it's price. It's damn near $18k. :smh: If this car was priced $3-$4k lower more than likely we would have one of these.

The Mazda 2, just plan sucks LOL

The Hyundai Elantra Touring (this is actually a wagon rather than a sedan) shockingl y is a pretty nice car. You can't beat Hyundai's warranty (EVERYTHIN G is covered except paint, and you can actually add a warranty for that lol), but we all know Hyundai's resell value sucks, and that's why it's not in our possessio n now.

Now for the FIT. Overall the car is pretty nice. This car feels just like a new gen EF (Slow as balls but pretty nimble LOL). What I fell in love with was the paddle shifters. I wanted a manual car but my wife is too damn lazy to learn how to drive a manual. So we both got want we wanted in the the FIT. She can drive the car like an automatic, and I can drive it like a stick (minus the clutch). The car has plenty of space, and the rear seat folds up like a transform er to make even more space. Like the Fiesta, new FITs are NOT worth the price. Luckily, we were able to find a 2009 Honda Certified with low miles. The 1st owner took a depreciat ion hit and we benefited from it. Overall the FIT was the best fit (lol) for my wife and seems like it will be fun to drive for a few years.

*On a side note*
Sooooo, my wife and I have an agree. Our agreement is... "To be able to get a NSX (which will be my next car unless a CRZ comes stock with a K20 lol), we must purchase her a new car (check), and I must pay off my credit card balances (and I have very little debt). So it seems like I'm on track to being able to purchase my NSX really soon  ;)

Nice purchase, I really like the Fit's! The Fiesta's are dope and I dont blame you for not wanting to spend that much on a sub compact.

Now forget about the NSX and make the fit look like this! Lol

Congrats on your new car!  I got mine back in March of '09, love it.  Got the manual though, can't stand the auto in the Fit's...paddl e shifters just don't really work well.

I have the Worldspor t 2 on my '91 and was hoping Apexi would release a WS2 for the Fit, they released a similiar exhaust, can't remember what it's called but it has a giant tip on it and looks sort of...off in the bumper opening, that and it's expensive for an axle back, but it's what I'll get if I ever do.  Looking into the Eibach Pro-Kit with some nice struts when I want to go a little lower, I'm not into the whole "slammed" look.
