Meet 'Lil Red
« on: May 13, 2014, 10:33:49 pm »
The hinges arrived yesterday ( thanks Lurch ur a top shelf guy in my book ) bye bye lambo  ;). Now this ol timer can get in/out of my street machine.
Here are some pix from FF's of lil red:  http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/members/perrenoud-fit-albums-daddy-s-new-toy.html

I have been on the fence with buying an alum. rad. due to cost 200-400 but they're all basically the same from the pix. Only differenc e is the logo sprayed on the front  :o. I came across an OPL for 128 shipped and just finished a 2 hour top tank buffing. H.C. it's shiny!
It will be perfect under the hood.

The add stated OEM fit & 40% more cooling. Bcuz its 40% bigger, ha ha. 'O it fits with cutting the bottom of the rad. support and notch over the PS radius bar for the fan support. Then ya have to fab up upper rad. supports which is OK the stockers look too oem, polished aluminum will look much better.
And so goes Lil Red's new rad. But it is too cool def worth the fun/ work to get it to fit.

 ;)
received a Si rear hatch (door)  this morning and removed the wing and plugs for the hatch on our civic. This hatch has a new glass in it. If anyone needs parts let me know and just pay for shipping it's yours.

installed the sedan grille trim and after cutting it up like a Texas brisket and counter sinking the screws it turned out like OEM.
painted it SEM trim black and am a H.C.  ;D.

Then came a new set of universal Sparco pedal covers, color matched the inlay stripes w/ logos to ext. color and cut up the gas pedal, (length & width) as it was too large. Painted the OEM pedals & arms with satin black.
Gave the old set of covers to my "son" Eyan for his 1st ride which will be a hondee.

cleaned the carpet with warm h2o, borax and a dash of liq. Tide applying with a micro fiber and a little round dish brush and then shop vac. put the nap back at attention!   :)

anybody out there doing anything?
hallooo!
feel like im writing in a journal here, lol
