My setup was a D16A6 with a Z6 head. Slap the head on with a Z6 head gasket (metal multilaye r gasket) and use a Z6 timing belt. I had to modify the dizzy so it would bolt up, it looks crude but it works (if you stay OBD0). If you go ODB1, then use the Z6 dizzy. Get the jumper harness and a P28. Run the wires for VTEC and youre set. If you stay OBD0, you"ll need some sort of VTEC controlle r.
I ran mine without VTEC and it moved pretty well. Im back to A6 head and can easily tell a differenc e in performan ce.

I had a built A6... then blew a headgaske t and went A6/Z6 for the vtec. Rywire had plug and play harnesses for the OBD-1 swap...wh ich i highly recommend . OBD-1 is easier to tune than OBD-0. Beside the ECU, dist. cap, and the things Bus Driver J said... you should be golden..

I'm saving for boost on top of a mini. It'll take a while but I'd really like to keep the mpgs of my d, the weight of a d, and easily the power of a b +more. I only plan on around 7-8 psi to keep it dd status. And who doesn't like a nice blow off valve? Wink

theres not that big of weight differenc e between b's and d's IMO. im sure its slightly heavier but a turbo d is easier than b i would think, ive never turboed anything though so im just going off of what ive read. gl
