Whoa Whoa Whoa there chief. Time to back your ponies up. I will bet you $1000 that your one 10 on 100 watts did NOT kit 167db. Even if you meant to say 1000 watts its not gonna happen. Especiall y an MTX sub. I use to compete in stereo competiti ons in the Element. I have 2 Rockford P3 12's, a Kicker KX850.2 in a tuned exDB box and my highest was 148db. My friend had a Highlande r with 2 Rockford T1 12's, same box, but with 2 Rockford BD1000's (one on each sub) and his highest was 157. He owns a stereo shop on the east side in Atlanta, he knows his shit. Im not tryin to suddenly get in a pissing contest but its just not gonna happen. 160 is a hard level to reach and to get to 165 takes a dedicated competiti on vehicle. But if you wanna help with problems people are having then by all means do so.

Yes, the meter was WAYYY off. The world record is barely in the 180's. Those are like vans with concrete walls and 1 inch think bullet proof glass as window. Shit where the doors are bolted shut with 3/4 bolts.

I can tell you back in the early 90's I helped build a truck with a system and it was hella hard to get it to stay around the 160's.
We hit a few times at 154-155 at the shows.
There was a lot of money that went into that truck.
I really doubt 1 10 would do that unless you had a jet engine running behind the 10

look buddy...t heres no way ur going 167 with that set up. Def not on the legal term lab, which is the worlds offical db reader. Ive installed, tested and competed in many record vehicles. The loudest is 181.3 which was set by alan dante, which i personall y know. He has 48k watts on 2 dd z18s. I loudest any 10 has done is in the 150s. And that was in a snail box tuned high on 10k. So i know for a fact the meter u did yours was not term lab.
BUT if u need any audio advice, im very knowledga ble and can assit you, if your not ignorant and will listen

pissing contest lol. I had two 15's in my dodge dakota i used to have and they hit 137 in it (amp was a 1920 spl amp but i was only using 800 bridged). i then moved the system to my first hatch. That was a POS lol. story short i never turned it up that much until a ricer pulled up next to me and blasted his two 12's before he looked at my shit. I cranked it car stalled so i turned it down to start it back. He started hollering come to find out it rattled rust off the car. when i pulled away from the light there was a ring of rust left behind.
Starting the system in the crx. I already have a 2400 watt amp and 2 audio pipe 12's eye candy series 1000 rms 2000 max. I'm thinking slot port box. not sure any ideas on boxes guys. I'm also gonna do a clean "show" style install where the amp is gonna be on the cargo cover ( add a cap to it when i buy one) and the subs are gonna be behind the seat. So of course its time to get an alarm and tint.

You could do something like I did with my cargo cover in my old CRX. It's wrapped in vinyl and has plexiglas s attached. My amps were mounted at the bottom, and I had blue neons lights hidden also. In the trunk, I had to 10's mounted in the spare tire well.

My audio sounds nice but the bass doesn't vibrate my insides or anything like that. I wanna hear your sheet when I see you next! (I forgot that all blk folks like their beat )
